A common misconception is that home inspectors determine the home's value or ensuring that the building meets municipal codes, when in fact, home inspectors don't do that. What they do instead is work to determine the condition of existing structures and calculate the risk of any problems arising in the future. Why You Need a Home Inspector Whether you are buying a home or planning to purchase one, it is important that before you make your final decision you assess all the pros and cons of such a huge investment. One way of determining whether making the buy would be advantageous or disadvantageous for you is to check the status of the home. A home inspector is just the person that you need for that. His job is to see to it that you are making the right decision in choosing that home for your own. He knows a lot more about home construction than you do so he knows what he's doing. He will know when a house is in good condition or not based on the systems and general condition of its external structures. In addition, a good home inspector is open to questions.
